We wish to remind you that the 6th Biennial Multidisciplinary conference organised by Association for Tourism Development in Nigeria (ATDiN), titled Tourism, Hospitality and Sustainability in Times of Uncertainty, is just two-weeks away.
The conference is scheduled for March 26 – 29, 2023 and promises to be exciting and thought-provoking.  Make finishing plans to attend.
We adopted both physical and virtual modes of paper presentations to ensure wider participation. 
The window for abstract submission shall close on March 15, 2023 when the process for the publication of abstracts will commence.

ADMISSION INTO MASTER OF SCIENCE DEGREE PROGRAMMES IN ACCOUNTING, BANKING & FINANCE, AND ECONOMICS AND MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION UNDER THE CBN COLLABORATIVE POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMME

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
Applications are invited from interested candidates into the Central Bank of Nigeria Collaborative Postgraduate Programmes (CBN-CPP). The CBN-CPP, which is the Central Bank of Nigeria’s flagship intervention in tertiary education offers quality postgraduate education devoid of disruptions. One of its Centres is the Central Bank of Nigeria Centre for Economics and Finance presently located at University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus .
The courses offered include:
• Master of Science in Accounting/Accountancy (Forensic Accounting and Auditing or Financial Accounting and Reporting).
• Master of Science in Banking and Finance (Financial Innovation & Technology or Credit & Treasury Management).
• Master of Science in Economics (Monetary Economics, Development Economics or Financial Economics & Markets).
• Master of Business Administration with specialization in Credit and Risk Management, Taxation, Finance, and Business Analytics.

SPECIAL FEATURES
a) Exposure to entrepreneurship skills for self employment and free training on minimum of ten softwares such as SAGE Accounting Cloud, Quickbooks , SPSS, STATA, MATLAB, Photoshop, Corel Draw, Coding, Python , Professional Power Point techniques, Referencing and grammar softwares, Eviews etc.
b)Access to the online UNN Enterprise School at a subsidized fee by the University, for training in Confectionaries, Cosmetology, Animal husbandry, Crafts, Software training and lots more with UNN diploma certificates in each program.
c) Exposure to quality teaching by a minimum of Senior Lecturers and Professionals.
d) Conducive environment for teaching and learning.
e) Uninterrupted teaching and learning for graduation within four semesters.
f) Link to selected Professional associations

ELIGIBILITY
The CBN-CPP is open to everyone willing to pursue enduring academic and professional careers in the relevant disciplines in both the private and public sectors. Specifically, the programme is meant for:
(i) applicants from relevant public sector organizations; (ii) applicants attached to, or being sponsored by private institutions, or organizations as part of their staff development programmes, and
(iii) independent applicants on self-sponsorship.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Interested candidates must possess a minimum of Second-Class Honours (Lower Division) Bachelor’s Degree in related fields and must have completed the mandatory NYSC Programme.

DURATION AND MODE OF STUDY
The duration of each programme shall be a maximum of four (4) semesters and strictly full time uninterrupted studies. It shall consist of teaching/course work, research (dissertation), oral/written examination, and case studies.

AWARD OF DEGREE/ GRADUATION
Graduation requirements shall be as determined by the University Senate and subject to meeting the minimum academic requirements prescribed by the National Universities Commission (NUC).

TUITION FEES
The tuition fees are N600,000.00 in all for Master of Science degree programmes and N1,000,000.00 in all for Master of Business Administration. The fees are payable either in full once or at most in two installments of
N400,000.00 in the first year and a balance of N200,000 in the second year for the Master of Science Programmes and 600,000.00 once or in two installments for the first year, and the balance of N400,000.00 in the second year for Masters in Business Administration. N/B:( The N600,000.00 & N1,000,000.00 tuition fees are for the entire duration of the programme)
Fully air conditioned accomodation facilities with furniture, water, light, available facility managers for cleaning and maintenance, cafeteria, common rooms for relaxation are available at 80,000 and 120,000 naira for single rooms and suites respectively per session.

IMPORTANT DATES
Screening examinations by the School of Postgraduate Studies holds on Wednesday, 11th May 2023.
Release/ Publication of Admission letters and Registration from 18th to 31st of May 2023.
Lectures start 1st June, 2023

THE MUSE JOURNAL CALL FOR ENTRIES FOR ITS 50TH ISSUE

The Muse Journal is a journal of creative and critical writing at the department of English and Literary Studies, University of Nigeria, Nsukka. It is the oldest-surviving students’ journal in West Africa, and founded by Chinua Achebe in 1963. The journal calls for submissions for its 50th issue, to be guest-edited by Chika Unigwe and Unoma Azuah. It is tagged The Homecoming Issue, but submissions can be on any theme.

An annual publication, the journal accepts submissions from the following genres:

  • flash fiction
  • short stories
  • plays
  • critical essays
  • literary reviews
  • poetry
  • artworks

There are prizes slotted for the best works in each category. However, only student contributors are eligible for these prizes.

  • Eriata Oribhabor Prize for Nigerian Pidgin Poetry
  • Fidelis Okoro Prize for Poetry
  • Ugwuanyi Leonard Prize for Flash Fiction
