NEW UNN DEPUTY VICE-CHANCELLOR (ADMINISTRATION)
Professor Patrick Uchenna Okpoko, today, emerges the new Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) of the University of Nigeria.
Professor Okpoko is of the Department of Archaeology & Tourism with specialty in Cultural Anthropology, Cultural Resources Management & Tourism, and Social Impact Assessment. He rose through the ranks and was promoted to Professor in 2006.
Professor Patrick Okpoko belongs to Distinction and Membership of Learned Societies, and was past Dean of the Faculty of Arts, UNN.
The election of Professor Patrick Uchenna Okpoko was the climax of today’s 402nd Senate Meetings of the University of Nigeria. He succeeds the immediate Vice-Chancellor of the University – Professor Charles Arizechukwu Igwe – whose appointment left the position of the DVC (Administration) vacant.
