Computer Based Examination (CBE) For MTH 121
Date: Wednesday 25th June, 2025.
Time: 10:00am – 4:00pm
Venue: Nnamdi Azikiwe Library, UNN and UNEC (see UNN website for details)
Nature of exam: 23 multiple choice questions to be answered in 40 minutes
Instructions
1. ALL Students are to come into the EXAM venue with only their PEN and an A4 plain paper.
2. NO HANDSETS, CALCULATORS OR OTHER ELECTRONIC DEVICES, HANDKERCHIEFS, COURSE REGISTRATION PRINTOUT OR ANY OTHER PAPER are allowed in the exam hall. Anything OUTSIDE PEN/BIRO and A4 PLAIN PAPER will be regarded as a TRASH.
3. Indecent dressing is a capital offence.
4. The CB Exam. will be taken in BATCHES due to the limited number of computers available at the library.
5. All students are EXPECTED TO ARRIVE AT THE VENUE of the examination at least one (1) hour before their scheduled start time for biometric verification, checking and proper placement.
6. Students are expected to be attentive and alert to hear when their batch is been called to take the exam. Each Batch will be closed or locked after 10 mins it starts to create room for students of the next batch.
7. Students should make sure they are available to take the exam when their batch is called upon to take the exam as those who MISSED their batch will NOT be allowed to WRITE WITH ANOTHER BATCH.
8. If your department is not in the ‘Department’ column, you belong to or will write under ‘others’.
9. Paper for rough work will not be provided at the entrance of the examination hall. Write your name/reg.no/Dept/signature on the rough sheet and submit at the end as it is the attendance to the examination, otherwise no result.
10. If you are 10 minutes late to your batch starting time, you won’t be allowed into the exam hall. This means that you missed the exam and will score zero on the exam.
11. Once a batch starts writing the batch will be closed after 10 minutes. This means
(i)students access to the questions will be withdrawn so you can’t see the questions anymore
(ii)if you come x minutes late you can only write for the remaining 40- minutes where < ;
for example, if you are 10 minutes late you will only write for 35 minutes.
12. Learn how to refresh your browser before the exam. Sometimes the question appears in
LaTex syntax (like code), just refresh your browser to fix the problem.
