Biography :



The young scholar was born on the 19th January. Biologically, she hails from Nkanu west of Enugu state.  In 1997, she began a sojourn for the acquisition of western education at St. Bartholomew primary School, Enugu. She graduated as the best pupil of the set. In 2003 she obtained SSCE at Queens Secondary School Enugu.
She sought admission into the prestigious University of Nigeria and was admitted to study Accountancy. However, her preference for Economics was based on her interest in Nigeria economy.  This made her to step down the offer and proceeded to study economics at Caritas University, Enugu (a daughter institution of Madonna University). In 2009,  she obtained the highest CGPA putting her as the best graduating students in Economics.
In 2009/2010, the National Youth Service Corps took this academics to Borno state. She served with Zenith bank PLC in Maiduguri. In a bid to plant commitment and entrepreneurial exploits, she took a part time job as auditor of the biggest (NAZO) pharmacy in Maiduguri.
Shortly after the NYSC assignment, her desire for master’s degree returned her to ever dreamed institution, the prestigious University of Nigeria where she graduated with master’s of science degree in economics with specialization in econometrics. She has in her credit quality publications in local and international journals. David-wayas Onyinye is currently pursuing a Ph.D in Economics, University of Nigeria.

On the 29th March, 2013, the Tony Elumelu Foundation awarded her as the best graduating masters’ student in Economics, University of Nigeria, Nsukka .
Marriage:  Onyinye is married to David Wayas, a lecturer in the University of Nigeria and they are blessed with children.
