Biography :

Emmanuel N. Aguwa became a medical doctor in 1989. He completed his internship in 1990 and National Youth Service in 1991.Since then he has had degrees in Public Administration (Postgraduate diploma, 1998); Public Health (MPH 2006), Fellow West African College of Physicians (2004), Fellow National Postgraduate Medical College (2004). He has worked in several hospitals both private and public. Some of these include Crown Hospital Nkpor Anambra State, Holy Rosary Hospital Emekuku Imo State, and Chapel Group Hospital Owerri Imo State. He is presently a Professor (since 2014) in University of Nigeria Enugu Campus where he teaches Occupational Health to undergraduate and post-graduate medical students. He is also an Honorary Consultant to University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital Enugu State. He has attended and presented research papers in several conferences and workshops both locally and internationally. He is also a trained WHO/TDR clinical monitor and has been involved in clinical trial. He is competent in the use of computer software like Microsoft and analysis software like Statistical Packages for Social Sciences (SPSS), Epi Info, PEPI, etc. Presently he has more than seventy publications in both local and internal journals and is a reviewer for many journals. His research works cut across many aspects of Public Health with more of them on occupational health. He is a member of several university committees - some of which include University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital Ethics Committee and College of Medicine Directorate for Research and Publication.
