APPLICATION FOR MR. EMMANUEL CHUKWUKA UKALA (SAN) SCHOLARSHIP FUND FOR 2016/2017 ACADEMIC SESSION

 

The Committee for the Administration of Mr. Emmanuel Chukwuka Ukala (SAN) Scholarship Fund wishes to invite indigent students of the University of Nigeria to apply for the scholarship. Interested students are to note that convincing proofs to claims are very important.

 

The application is expected to strictly contain the following information in the order stated below:

TIME TABLE FOR THE CONDUCT OF THE 2016/2017 HALL GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS

1 Monday, 5th – Monday, 12th December, 2016. 9am – 3:30pm  Daily. Collection and submission of Nomination forms.
2 Tuesday, 13th – Wednesday, 15th December, 2016. 9am – 3:30pm Daily. Screening of candidates for Election/Interview.
3 Friday, 16th December, 2016. 2pm. Publication of cleared candidates into Hall Government Election. Election campaign begins in various Halls for hall Government Election.
4 Sunday, 18th December, 2016. 4pm – 6pm. Campaign and manifesto at various Hostels.
5 Monday, 19th December, 2016. 9am – 12noon. Accreditation, followed by election into Hall Government, Counting of votes and announcement of Results.
6 Tuesday, 20th December, 2016   Filing of Appeals.
7 Wednesday, 21st December, 2016   Hearing of Appeals

In pursuance of the mandate by the University Administration to open the University e-Learning platform for students’ academic activities, training sessions were conducted on Tuesday 22 and Wednesday 23 November 2016 in Nsukka campus for students offering the following GSP courses:

  4. GSP201 (Social Sciences)

  6. MITT (Mandatory IT Training)

 

There will be similar training at Enugu Campus on Thursday 1st December 2016; see timetable below.

TETFund CONFERENCE ATTENDANCE SPONSORSHIP FOR NON-ACADEMIC STAFF: CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

Applications are invited from NON-ACADEMIC STAFF of the University under the TETFund Conference Attendance Intervention for the Year 2017 in accordance with the following guidelines:

  1. All letters of invitation to Conference must come from registered and reputable Institutions that are recognized and certified, with the fees clearly stated there on;
  2. Staff can only benefit from sponsorship by the Fund to Conference only once in every three (3) years;
  3. All Conference Attendance periods must not exceed seven (7) days;
  4. Refund of any Conference attended without obtaining approval from the Fund will not be considered for approval;
  5. Three (3) copies of the duly completed application shall be submitted by the applicant through his/her Head of Unit to the Chairman TETFund Committee c/o TETFund Desk Office, CEC Seminar Building, UNN;
  6. Successful applicants will be notified and issued with TETFund nomination forms after the Vice-Chancellor’s endorsement and thereafter the nominees’ presented to TETFund for further necessary actions;
  7. Application not duly endorsed by the Head of Unit shall be rejected;
  8. The deadline for submission of application shall be on or before Tuesday 28th February, 2017. Date of Conference in view should not be earlier than June, 2017;
