YEAR 2020 NATIONAL RESEARCH FUND (NRF) CALL FOR CONCEPT NOTES

Once again, while congratulating on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, University of Nigeria, Professor Charles Arizechukwu Igwe the Year 2019 NRF Intervention awardees, the TETFund Committee wishes to bring to the notice of all academic staff, the ongoing Year 2020 Call for Concept Notes.

We hope that the success of the 5 Nos. staff beneficiaries of the last (Year 2019) edition will spur massive response from our staff especially considering the whooping N7.5 billion under consideration in the current Year 2020 NRF Grants Cycle.

We advise that Project Topics that reflect developmental challenges or topics that focus on Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) may be more attractive.

Biomedical and Agricultural Sciences usually get the bulk of the applications. It will be wise and useful for applicants to diversify interest base to cover practically all Thematic Areas, especially staff with relevant capacity and expertise, into other sectors such as maritime, space research, oil and gas, geology etc. of course not forgetting that COVID-19 is the issue of the moment
