This is to inform you that the Nigeria Technology Awards nomination for 2021 is now open. This Award is organized to recognize and reward the Technology Institutions, Entrepreneurs, Innovations, Academicians, Inventors and policy makers (Government) in Nigeria. Accordingly, the University of Nigeria has made exceptional mark in Science and Technology thereby warranting such recognition. As is the standard practice of this award, Institutions and stakeholders are expected to nominate deserving Institution (S) for final consideration of the award. In view of this, I request that you mobilize all your staff to visit the online portal (below) and nominate University of Nigeria, Nsukka for the three award positions under the education, Federal University Categories.

2017-2019 Candidates without Jamb Admission Letter

All candidates who were admitted into the Degree programme of the
University of Nigeria between 2017-2019 that have no Jamb Admission
Letter should submit their particulars (Jamb Reg. No., Name and Course
Admitted/Reading now) to Admissions Office. The submission should
reach the Admissions Office before the close of work on Tuesday, 24
August, 2021. Those admitted during the 2019/2020 academic session
in the Faculties of Dentistry, Law, Medical Sciences, Pharmaceutical
Sciences and Nursing Sciences are not covered by this window. Those
who had earlier written their names in the Admissions Office should
please ignore this.

JOINT UNIVERSITIES PRELIMARY EXAMINATIONS BOARD (JUPEB)

2021/2022 JUPEB ADMISSION

Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) programme for the 2021/2022 academic session. The programme leads to the JUPEB certificate award, which enables candidates to gain Direct Entry Admissions into various degree programmes in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and other JUPEB – affiliated Universities in Nigeria and abroad.

ELIGIBILITY: Eligible candidates must possess minimum of 5 Credits at maximum of two sittings in at least 5 subjects (including English Language) relevant to the candidates’ desired course of study in the University.

DURATION: The duration of the programme is a minimum of one academic session of two semesters.

Available Subject Combinations:

ARTS:

• Gov/Lit-in-English/CRS (GLCRS),

SOCIAL SCIENCES: 

• Government/Economics/Mathematics (GEM),
• Govt/Economics/Geography (GEG),
• Literature/Economic/Geography (LEG),
• Biology/Economics/Government (BEG),
• Govt/Lit/CRS (GLCRS),
• Biology/Govt/CRS (BGCRS) etc.

MANAGEMENT SCIENCES: 

• Business Studies/Economics/Mathematics (BEM),
• Government/Economics/Mathematics (GEM),
• Accounts/Business Studies/Economics (ABE) etc.

SCIENCES:

• Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics (PCM),
• Physics/Chemistry/Biology (PCB),
• Physics/Geography/Mathematics (PGM),
• Physics/Economics/Mathematics (PEM).
• Physics/Biology/Mathematics (PBM) etc.

The above subject combinations meet the requirements (as applicable) for admission into various courses in the Sciences, Social Sciences, Management Sciences and Arts in University of Nigeria, Nsukka and all JUPEB – affiliated Universities in Nigeria and abroad.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES:

The applicant should pay the application fee of N20,000.00 through remita payment platform at any bank. He/she should generate a payment invoice which contains remita number. The invoice printout will enable him/her to make payment at the bank. (Please note that Bank charges apply)

The Summary of the procedures for the applicant is as follows:

1. Visit unn.edu.ng/
2. Click on Generate Payment Invoice under JUPEB.
3. Enter your telephone number and click on submit.
4. Enter your Surname, First name, Middle name and click on submit.
5. Print out the invoice and pay at the bank
6. After making payments at the bank visit the portal (unnportal.unn.edu.ng)
7. Click on fill Joint Universities Preliminary Admissions Board programme
8. Enter the remita number and click on submit.
9. Fill the form and attach your passport (colour passport photograph with white background).
10. The passport photograph must be recent (not earlier than 3 months before the time of the application) and the size should not be more than 100KB.
11. Complete the form and click on submit
12. Print out the acknowledgment slip.

Note that JUPEB UNN has not authorized any person(s) or agent(s) to sell application forms on its behalf. UNN-JUPEB Application and payment is strictly online through the UNN Portal at www.unnportal.unn.edu.ng using Remita and not through individual bank account.

GENERAL INFORMATION:   

• All prospective JUPEB candidates are advised to regularly visit unn.edu.ng as well as their email for updates and other relevant information.

• All candidates are required to register for 2022 JAMB Direct Entry at the appropriate time.
• The forms must be filled and submitted online either immediately or within two weeks of accessing the website. No downloaded or printed copies of forms will be accepted.
• Candidates are advised to follow the Application Instructions very carefully and ensure they select the Correct SUBJECT COMBINATIONS. Failure to do so may adversely affect the candidate.

Closing Date: Application will end on 25^th October, 2021.

This is to bring to the notice of all fresh postgraduate students admitted in the 2019/2020 academic session that the School of Postgraduate Studies is organizing an orientation programme for all fresh postgraduate students admitted in the 2019/2020 academic session into departments in both Nsukka and Enugu Campuses of the University.

This is in line with the vision of the current University Administration to reposition the postgraduate programmes for global competitiveness through timeliness, excellence and ethical conduct. The orientation programme is a proactive enlightenment effort to acquaint the students with necessary procedures and regulations and motivate them onto high level performances that will minimize cases of delayed graduation, failures and other mistakes that could arise from ignorance.
