The topic of the Lecture is, “Stress-Illness Connection: Critical Factors Moderating the Link” to be delivered by Rev. Fr. Professor Chuka Mike Ifeagwazi of the Department of Psychology, UNN.

The event commences at 1:00 pm at Princess Alexandra Auditorium and Unity Hall, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, on Thursday, May 26, 2016.

POST-UTME CBT PRACTICE

This is to inform the public that the Post-UTME CBT practice for 2016/2017 session has started.

To practice for the forthcoming exam, buy a scratch card at the sum of N500 only (excludes bank commission) from the under listed banks or from the e-market office at Marlima Building:

• UBA Plc.
• Fidelity Bank.
• First Bank.
• Access Bank.

Remember the More you practice the more your chances of excelling in the exam.

STEPS FOR STUDENT TO PRACTICE FOR THE POST-UTME EXAM

1. Buy the scratch card from the approved banks.
2. Log on to unn.edu.ng
3. Scroll down the page and click on

To Register, 

4. Log on with your Jamb Registration Number and Scratch Card pin.
5. Click Submit
6. Select your course of study.
7. Enter the subjects’ you registered during the JAMB exam.
8. Click Start.
9. Print out the page containing your token (The number that gives you access to practice for this exam)

To begin the practice for the exam

10. Go back to Step 3 above.
11. Enter your registration number
12. Enter your token number (Given)
13. Click start exam.
14. Begin Practice exam.
15. Submit when done.
16. See Result.
17. Log out from the system.

Note.

• Each card gives you access to practice on the site twice (2 times).
• You will need to have your JAMB Registration number handy for this practice.
• Keep your card details safe.
• Print your generated token page and keep it safe.

The Nnamdi Azikiwe Library, University of Nigeria, Nsukka is organising a one day Training for Postgraduate students on Access to Online Databases and using Mendley (reference manager)- an application that helps to manage, share and discover both content and contacts in research. All postgraduate students are expected to participate in the training programme as this is an effort by the University library to ensure quality research output by our students.

CANDIDATES IN 2015/2016 SUPPLEMENTARY ADMISSIONS LIST WITHOUT JAMB REGISTRATION NUMBERS

The above candidates who were admitted in the 2015/2016 session but whose JAMB numbers were not reflected in our Admission list or who supplied wrong JAMB numbers should submit their UTME and PUTME results slips to the Admissions Office for onward submissions to JAMB Office Abuja for regularization of their admissions. All submissions MUST be made between now and Monday 16 May 2016. Any submission made after the close of work on Monday 16 May 2016 will not be received.

All other candidates who were duly admitted in the 2014/2015, 2015/2016 sessions but whose JAMB  numbers were not properly reflected in the Admission List or who have no JAMB numbers in the Admission list should also submit their UTME and PUTME slip for same purpose.

RE: FINAL CAPTURING OF  STUDENTS FOR BIOMETRIC STUDENT ID/LIBRARY CARD

This is to notify all students that the final capturing of student data for the issuance of their biometric ID/Library card will run from Monday 9^th May, 2016- Friday 18^th June, 2016.

Any student who fails to present himself/herself for capturing within the time allotted will not be allowed into the Library or allowed access to take examinations.

Henceforth, students with any kind of issues will be asked to show their Biometric ID/Library card as this is their official form of identity on campus. The security department will also begin to ask students for their identity cards during their routine patrol especially in the night.

This process is open to students of all levels (including Postgraduate) who have not been captured and it is expected that it would be taken seriously. Find below the timetable of capturing and the venue will be the MIS Building behind Economics Department.

Also note that that all students would be admitted for class quizzes, examinations and any special function with their authentic biometric student ID/Library card.

Any student who fails to register by this time is deemed to have lost the semester. Kindly take advantage of this grace period and register all your courses online for the semester.

Call for Applications for 2016 Financial Aid Award of NsukkaUSA Inc. University of Nigeria, Nsukka
NsukkaUSA Inc. is a socio-cultural organization by Nsukka citizens in the USA.  Part of her continuous socio-economic empowerment program is the award of financial aid to final year undergraduates from Nsukka Cultural Zone at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, aimed towards their tuition and project.  NsukkaUSA Inc. is calling for applications for 2016 Annual Financial Aid Awards.
Eligibility The awards are for students who meet all of the following criteria: (a)  Students enrolled at the University of Nigeria in degree programs (Nsukka campus only) and who are in the final year of their study during the 2015/2016 academic year.
(b)  Students whose town of origin is in one of the following Local Government Areas  in Enugu State of Nigeria: Igbo-Etiti, Igbo-Eze North, Igbo-Eze South, Isi-Uzo,   Nsukka, Udenu, and Uzo-Uwani.
Number of Awards There will be a total of fourteen financial aid awards.  Two students with the highest cumulative GPA in each of the seven Local Government Areas stated above will receive the awards. Heads of Departments are requested to kindly validate students CGPA.
How to Apply for the 2016 Award Eligible candidates should send a mail to “nsukkausa.unn@gmail.com” requesting for the free form, stating their Full names, Department, Registration no. ,L.G.A, Town & Phone no.. Upon submission of an Online Form, a Printable Application Form will be mailed to the candidate. Completed Application Form (and enclosures in an envelop) shall be addressed to Dr. Charles C. Ugbor (Co-ordinator) and submitted in his pigeon hole at the Department of Geology (General Office).  NOTE: The Application Form is free.

Successful candidates will be presented the award in an open forum at CEC, UNN in June.
