ABSTRACT:
This paper is concerned with the study of velocities of propagation of second order waves in heat-conducting thermoelastic materials and the variation of the wave amplitudes. The study provides a generalization of some of the known work done on the propagation of singular surfaces. Thr role of the heat-flux vector on the velocities of propagation and on the variation of the amplitude of the waves is examined.
