Abstract
In this note we give short proofs of several stability results for fixed point iteration procedures established by Harder and Hicks(2), Rhoades(9-11) and one of the authors(3 & 4). Our method of proof yields both the convergence of the sequence of iterates to the fixed point of the mapping as well as the stability df the iteration procedure.
