- Holders of the School Certificate/GCE Ordinary Level and the Higher School Certificate/GCE Advanced Level with passes in two subjects at Principal or Advanced Level together with passes at subsidiary or credit level in three other subjects;
- Holders of the School Certificate/GCE Ordinary Level and the Higher School Certificate/GCE Advanced Level with passes in three subjects at Principal or Advanced Level together with a pass in one other subject at subsidiary or credit level;
- Holders of the Higher School Certificate/GCE Advanced Level with passes in four subjects at Principal Level. The number of passes indicated in these first three listings above should be obtained at not more than two sittings;
- Holders of the School Certificate or its equivalent with at least four credit level passes and a pass in English Language plus approved 2-year Diploma(see Appendix B for list of Diplomas acceptable for related Courses);
- Holders of post-secondary qualifications beyond the levels of first three points listed above. Such qualifications include degree and diplomas of this and other Universities or Institutions recognized by the University. (Check in the Academic Calender for more details).
- Holders of the Diploma in Music Education of this University with the degree programme in Music;
- Holders of the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE), with at least a Merit aggregate; plus a minimum of credit pass in the subject to be combined with Education are eligible for admission into the two-year degree programme in Education.
