Meeting of Convocation of the University of Nigeria
A meeting of the Convocation of the University will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 11.00 a.m. in Ekpo Convocation Arena, University of Nigeria, Nsukka Campus, to elect the Convocation Representative on the Governing Council of the University.
All registered members of Convocation are hereby invited to attend the meeting. All graduates and honorary graduates who wish to attend the Convocation meeting are advised to update their membership by obtaining an Application Form from Careers and Students’ Services Unit, Registry, University of Nigeria, Nsukka or use the proforma below.

2017 star tLincoln University is New Zealand’s specialist land-based university; future
focused and providing academic programmes informed by three adopted causes of global
significance: namely, feed the world, protect the future, live well.
The Faculty of Agribusiness and Commerce delivers business-related undergraduate and
postgraduate programmes, research and effective engagement with relevant industry and
professional organisations that focus on sustainable development and management of the
natural, modified, and built environments. The Faculty of Agribusiness and Commerce has
particular focus on all aspects of agribusiness and aspires to become the leading provider of
agribusiness education and research in Australasia.
Currently, the Faculty are seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow in Farm Management to support the
Professor of Farm Management, in a fixed term role for two years.
The Postdoctoral Fellow will contribute to research in a number of areas, with emphasis on
the economic, environmental and social aspects of sustainable farming and horticultural
systems.
This may include impacts of, and response to, policy and market change; metrics at the
farm/business level – technical efficiency and resilience; the environmental sustainability of
production systems; ensuring on-farm/business biosecurity; farmer/grower extension and
knowledge transfer; farmer decision making; and supply and value change management in
the primary industry sector.
The successful candidate will have:
PhD in in Farm Management, Agricultural Science or Agricultural Economics.
Candidates with related PhD qualifications or awaiting PhD results are also
encouraged to apply
A background in farm systems analysis and/or farm economics as well as strong
quantitative and statistical skills to address farm business management questions.
Demonstrated the ability to complete research projects, write-up and publish findings
in high quality refereed journals.
The ability to teach within a multi-and inter-disciplinary setting, and to stimulate,
encourage and facilitate learning by both large and small student groups, at
undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
We are looking for an outstanding new researcher to work on ground breaking research in an
