The Committee for the Administration of Mr. Emmanuel Chukwuka Ukala (SAN) Scholarship Fund wishes to invite indigent students of the University of Nigeria to apply for the scholarship. Interested students are to note that convincing proofs to claims are very important.

The application is expected to strictly contain the following information in the order stated below:

Information on the student’s parents (Not sponsor or guardian) is also vital for qualification for this scholarship as follows:

UNEC ACCOMMODATION NOTICE 4

This is to inform all University of Nigeria, Enugu campus students that the accommodation process is still ongoing as we are currently recovering rooms that will be opened up soonest.

On this note, the male rooms have been sorted out and will be opened on Friday October 28th, 2016 by 10am. All male students in UNEC should please take note.

The female students will soon have their rooms opened as we are making frantic efforts to ensure that all hostel accommodation issues are resolved as soon as possible.

Please check the UNN website regularly as this will afford you the opportunity of knowing first hand when the hostels will be opened.

URGENT INFORMATION FOR DIRECT ENTRY STUDENTS

This is to inform all prospective Direct entry students whose names did not appear in the initial list sent by JAMB that they can now proceed to complete the Direct Entry admission screening exercise.

The affected students are from the department of Chemistry and Electrical/Electronics Engineering.

The portal for Registration opens on Thursday 27^th October, 2016 by 10am and closes on Sunday 30^th October, 2016 by Midnight.

Any student who fails to register within this time frame will be deemed to have lost the opportunity to register for the screening exercise.

Joint International Seminar on Human Rights, Environmental Law and Children’s Right

We are delighted to inform you that the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in collaboration with the Stockholm University Sweden and also the Heinrich Bὂll Foundation, Germany is organizing an international seminar on the following themes:

1. Environmental Law, Human Rights and Climate Change in a Post 2015 World: Global Call, Local Action; and
2. Violence against Children: The Dissonance between Law and Practice‎

The seminar is scheduled to hold as scheduled below

Date:   2^nd and 3^rd November, 2016

Venue: Princess Alexandria Auditorium (PAA), University of Nigeria, Nsukka Campus.

Time:   9am to 4pm daily

The first day will be devoted to theme 1, while the second day will take on theme 2.

This seminar is intended to bring together all key stakeholders within and outside the country to make their expert inputs on priority areas of common research in the identified thematic areas. It is our hope that the papers presented will be subsequently edited and published. The seminar will avail the presenters opportunity to discuss and improve on their papers to strategically align with global advancement in these fields.

APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION INTO DIPLOMA PROGRAMME IN MUSIC EDUCATION FOR 2016/2017 ACADEMIC SESSION

This is to inform all interested candidates that the sale of Diploma Form for 2016/2017 admission into the Department of Music, Faculty of Arts, University of Nigeria, Nsukka has commenced.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

1. Visit the University of Nigeria website (unn.edu.ng) or the University of Nigeria Portal (unn.portal.edu.ng) log in your phone number to generate and download a payment invoice which contains a Remitta number, the invoice will enable you make payment it any Commercial Bank.

2. With the payment invoice, the candidate is required to pay Five thousand naira (5,000.00) processing fee. Ensure that the invoice number is keyed in appropriately at the Bank and obtain a confirmation slip containing a confirmation number and your invoice number.

3. Visit the University of Nigeria website or portal (unn.edu.ng or. unn.portal. edu.ng) again and login your phone number, the confirmation and invoice numbers and then complete the Diploma Form on-line.

4. Application starts on Monday October 24, 2016 and closes on Monday
