ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
The entry requirements are the same as those for the Regular Degree (with O/Level)/Direct Entry and Diploma courses of the University of Nigeria. Relevant details are as contained in the Guideline for Admission into Sandwich and Evening Degree Programmes obtainable after online registration.
METHOD OF APPLICATION
All candidates who wish to apply for these Programmes listed above should apply through any JAMB approved CBT centre, log on to JAMB Part-Time Platform and register for the programme indicating your choice Institution.
Obtain a registration number from JAMB after-which the candidate returns to UNN Portal; www.unn.edu.ng or any of the affiliate Institution of choice web-site and generate “Sandwich Registration Invoice” proceed to any Commercial Bank and pay the sum of (N 5,000.00) only for Registration Form. Obtain a print-out containing (RRR) number from the Bank.
Return to the University or Affiliate Institutions Portal and click on Sandwich Registration and Complete the Registration Form On-line after which you enter your JAMB Registration number on the Registration Form. Print out the completed Registration Form and submit it with your Academic Credentials to the Sandwich and Evening Programmes Unit Office.
The On-line registration will close on October 31, 2020. For more enquires, come to the Sandwich and Evening Programmes Unit office.

at theUniversidad de León (Spain)
Within the framework of the Erasmus+ program (Key Action 107) the Universidad de León has been the beneficiary of a grant destined to finance mobility stays during the 2020/2021 academic year. Under the 2009-1-EX01-KA107-063766 project. Under the mobility agreement between University of Nigeria and Universidad de Leon Spain, the Vice rectórate for Internationalisation of the Universidad de León offers 3 grants for Mobility for Teaching Staff from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
Requirements
- Applicants must be Faculty members at University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
- Mobility must be completed before July 2021.
- Applicants need to prepare a teaching It is compulsory to teach at least 8 hours during the 5 activity days of the mobility.
- Applicants need to fill in a Mobility Agreement (see Anex I) stating their teaching
- Beneficiaries will need to take an accident and emergency insurance that covers the duration of their mobility, we require the Oncampus insurance for their extense
- Every mobility should have the possibility of academic
Financial support
Each grant will be financed as follows:
- Individual support: 160 € per day.
- Travel expenses: 530€.
Time
The period of stay comprises 5 teaching days and 2 days of travel.
Applications
Interested staff should send their applications to the Deputy Vice Chancellor (academic). The application should include the following
- An application letter (indicating the period you intend to travel if selected
- An updated curriculum vitae
- The course you propose to teach at Universidad de Leon with information on
- Class level(Undergraduate, Masters or Ph.D level)
- Course title
- Course outline (eight topics you will cover in eight hours)
- List of your published papers that are relevant to the proposed course
- An endorsement from your head of Department, indicating how long you have been teaching the course or related courses in the Department
Application deadline
All applications should reach the Deputy Vice Chancellor (academic) on or before 30th October, 2020
Valorisation scale and selection criteria
Selection will be based on
- General creative output (publications) and teaching experience
- The proposed course
- Research publications related to the proposed course
- Teaching experinece in the course or related courses

The Selection Committee for the adjudication of the mobilities will be formed by:

We wish to inform the University Community and the general public that the online registration exercise has been extended from Friday, August 28, 2020 to Monday, September 28, 2020. This is to enable eligible candidates who have not registered to do so.

The Journal of Economics and Allied Research (JEAR) is a peer-reviewed open access
journal published by the Center for Contemporary Economics and Allied Research,
Department of Economics, University of Nigeria, Nsukka. The Volume 4 (issue 4)
of the journal will be published in October 2020. This call invites lecturers,
researchers, graduate students and authors with high quality articles to submit
them to the journal editorial board for publication in the forth-coming issue.
Articles for publication should not exceed 12-15 pages (Times New Roman and 1.5
line spacing).

Rotaract Club of UNN Waste Basket Project Launch
THE ROTARACT CLUB OF UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA DONATES ONE HUNDRED (100) BEAUTIFULLY CONSTRUCTED METALLIC WASTE BASKETS TO THE UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA
The Rotaract Club of University of Nigeria, with Support from the Rotary Club of Nsukka makes history by donating One Hundred (100) Beautifully Constructed Metallic Waste Baskets to the University of Nigeria on the 19th of August 2020.
The Rotaract Club of University of Nigeria (with membership of over 300 students) is an International Humanitarian Organization which contributes to the society by identifying a need in her immediate community and seeks to fill it through a framework of service and fellowship. True to her nature, she identified a need in her immediate environment (The University Community) and filled it with the donation of the waste baskets. This project will improve environmental sanitation and add to the aesthetics of the University environment. This project is under one of Rotary’s seven areas of focus, which is supporting the environment.
The project was launched, by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Charles Igwe ably represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor Administration Prof. Patrick Okpoko, at the front of the Administrative building. Also in attendance were the Dean of Student Affairs Prof. Edwin Omeje, the Public Relations Officer Chief Dr. Okwun Omeaku, Director ICT Mr. Paul Oranu, SSA to the Vice Chancellor Mr. Laz Ekeke, Confidential Secretary to the Vice Chancellor Mrs Chidinma Ambrose, Director Environment Dr. Chigbo Mgbemene ably represented, President Rotary Club of Nsukka Mr. Ayobami Odubiyi, some members of the Club (Sponsor Rotaract Club of UNN) and other members of the University community. These Waste Baskets were mounted in strategic places in the University environment.
The President Rotaract Club of UNN Rtr. Mbanugo Johnbosco Chiemerie while presenting his speech stated that the donation of the waste baskets is the Club’s way of supporting the Vice Chancellor and his Administration as well as supporting the Environment. He recognized the efforts of the Immediate Past President of the Club Rtr. Mozie Michael and his board of directors for commencing the project and handing over to him to complete and launch.
The Vice Chancellor who is an ardent supporter of a clean and healthy environment, in his remarks commended the selfless and laudable initiative and encouraged the members of the Rotaract Club of UNN to continue to support the University Administration by executing projects that will improve the lives of both staff and students on the University Campus
The Public Relations Officer Chief Dr. Okwun Omeaku, who is also a member of the Rotary Club of Nsukka encouraged members of University community to join a Rotary Club so as to enable execution of more laudable projects that will improve lives and livelihoods in the University and its environs.
All the one hundred (100) waste baskets have been installed at strategic locations on the University Campus.
