VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN (VAW) RESEARCH GROUP
Focus: The research will review and analyse the issues of Violence Against Women (VAW) in all ramifications: reasons for the rampant cases; the nature of the perpetrators; why it proliferates; the prevention and management strategies in place to check-mate future occurrences; the role of families, neighbours, communities and the government. This will be with the view of finding out the preventive measures and the intervention (immediate response) to help the victim, and to formulate a policy framework for the integration of human rights.
