University of Nigeria Nsukka is invited to participate in the 2022 Global Enterprise Experience (www.geebiz.org) which will run from April 27 – May 18.

This is an online action-learning experience to develop student skills in peer-leadership, cross-cultural management, social entrepreneurship, and global citizenship. No travel is involved, and it will take about 12 hours per week.

The Global Enterprise Experience won the Intercultural Innovation Award from the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations and the BMW Group for its global impact on cross-cultural leadership and addressing the UNSDGs.  Universities are using this programme to raise their Times Higher Education World University Rankings for UNSDG Impact.

The GEE-Free option is free!  Your students will be placed on a virtual team of eight colleagues from six to eight nations. The team will have three weeks to “Develop a six-page business concept proposal for a low initial cost venture that profitably progresses a United Nations Sustainable Development Goal”.

GEE-free participants also receive extensive guidance (on developing their skills in peer-leadership, business planning, creativity, and global teamwork), 360-degree feedback on their performance, and they are entitled to awards, prize money, a certificate, and a letter of commendation.

The Peer-Leader Plus option is USD630. The added benefits are personal coaching, webinars, learning materials, tutorials, work assessment, global peer-leader performance accreditation, entitlement to a referee, and priority to be invited to step up from peer-leadership to team-leadership before the contest starts. Full details are here.

Enrolment is from February 22 to April 13, 2022 via www.geebiz.org. Students may enrol as a single or as a pair. This email is for your planning – no action is needed at present.

To date students from 800 universities in 126 countries have participated. Some are volunteers and others are enrolled in courses such as international business, development studies, innovation, entrepreneurship, business communications, and leadership.

More information is on the Global Enterprise Experience website (www.geebiz.org). Please forward this email to other academics who may be interested.

Please contact me if you would like to discuss the suitability of the Global Enterprise Experience GEE -Free or Peer-Leader Plus for University of Nigeria Nsukka.
