Profile:

Education:

Professor Enemo was educated at the University of Nigeria. She received a Bachelor of Law degree (LL.B) from the University of Nigeria in 1980. She also has an LL.M (Nigeria) and PhD (Nigeria), which she obtained in 1984 and 1996, respectively.

Career:

Professor Enemo was appointed the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Enugu Campus) in March 2011. She joined the services of the University of Nigeria as an Assistant Lecturer in the Faculty of Law in 1985, after a period of legal practice at Erinne and Erinne Chambers, Onitsha, Nigeria. She was subsequently promoted to the ranks of Lecturer II (1986), Lecturer I (1990), Senior Lecturer (1994) and Professor (2006).

Administrative Experience:

Prior to her appointment as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Enugu Campus), Professor Enemo had held various administrative positions in the Faculty of Law of the University of Nigeria in 1985. These include: Acting Head of Department of International Law, & Jurisprudence (1994 – 1996; 2000 – 2001; 2002 – 2005), Associate Dean (2005- 2007), Acting Dean (2007- 2010).

 Administrative Experience:

Prior to her appointment as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Enugu Campus), Professor Enemo had held various administrative positions in the Faculty of Law of the University of Nigeria in 1985. These include: Acting Head of Department of International Law, & Jurisprudence (1994 – 1996; 2000 – 2001; 2002 – 2005), Associate Dean (2005- 2007), Acting Dean (2007- 2010).

Activities/Responsibilities

Professor Ifeoma Enemo is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Enugu Campus). Her main responsibilities as DVC (Enugu Campus) are to:

1. Assist the Vice – Chancellor in the performance of his functions as they relate to Enugu Campus;

2. Act in the place of the Vice – Chancellor in Enugu Campus when necessary;

3. Perform such other functions as the Vice -Chancellor or Governing Council of the university may assign to her from time to time.

Her portfolio includes headship of administration in Enugu Campus of the university. In her position as DVC (Enugu Campus) she is chair of the following committees: Advisory Management Committee (AMC) Enugu Campus, Board of Governors of the University Primary School, Enugu Campus, Central Administration Appraisal/Assessment Committee(Junior Staff) Enugu Campus and Institute of Development Studies(IDS) Appraisal Committee (Academic). She also has some oversight functions in the College of Medicine and all the Faculties, Departments, Centres and Institutes in Enugu Campus of the university.
