N-Build Training Sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs

The Innovation in TVET Research Project Group working under the University of Nigeria Nsukka UNEVOC Centre is presently training 25 youths in three trades for three months. The trades are Carpentry (10 trainees), Electrical Installation (10 Trainees), and Masonry (5 Trainees). The training was attracted by Dr. Ifeanyi B. Ohanu who is the facilitator of research and training at the University of Nigeria Nsukka UNEVOC Centre. The training started on 19th December 2022 and is expected to end by 31st March, 2023. The training is sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs. At the end of the training (31st March 2023), each trainee will receive a starter pack (containing tool box; safety wears such as safety shoes, coverall, helmet, hand gloves; and almost the tools required to start their trade) which are already delivered to our UNEVOC Centre by the Federal Government. All the 25 trainees are also expected to receive their transport allowance for 3months from the Federal Government. Some of the pictures are shown below:

Project T-MAX Sponsored by the Special Adviser to the President on Education Matters

The Innovation in TVET Research Project Group working under the University of Nigeria Nsukka UNEVOC Centre trained 150 youths in Tailoring/Fashion Designing for three months under Project T-MAX. PROJECT T-MAX, a Federal Government Technical & Vocational Education & Training (TVET) Programme. Project T-MAX means Project TVET Maximization.. The training was attracted by Dr. Ifeanyi B. Ohanu who is the facilitator of research and training at the University of Nigeria Nsukka UNEVOC Centre. The training started on 28th November 2022 and ended on 22nd February, 2023. The training is sponsored by the Federal Government through the Office of The Special Adviser to the President on Education Matters. Out of 150 youths trained, about 40% are expected to be given starter pack once they are sent to our UNEVOC Centre.  All the 150 trainees are also expected to receive their transport allowance for 3months from the Federal Government.
