THEME: Digital Economy and Changing Financial Architecture: A Developing Economy Perspective.

The evolving digital economy has created an increasing highly-profitable, technology-driven and digital-heavy business models that rely heavily on intangible assets, such as patents or software that are hard to value. These high-tech firms are mostly domiciled in advanced economies. Scholars and practitioners tend to disagree on the impact of these developments on the financial system and the economy as a whole. The objective of this conference, therefore, is to bring together leading practitioners in financial technology, academic scientists, researchers and research scholars to exchange and share experiences and research results on how digital finance is changing the entire global financial architecture, and the implications on developing economies.

The sub-themes of the conference are not limited to the following:
a) Optimal regulation for the ring-fencing of financial institution from digital disruption

b) Digital finance, financial marketplace and arbitrage in a developing economy
c) Crypto-Currency and the payment in a digitalized developing financial system
d) Digital finance, block-chains, money laundering and terrorism financing
e) Digital finance and financial system stability in a developing economy
f) Digital platforms for smallholder credit access
g) The role of supply chain finance in improving the competitive advantage of online retailing enterprises
h) The role of ICT in financial inclusion and financial development.
i) Forensic auditing and investigation as part of financial innovation

k) Digital finance and marketing of financial services in a developing economy
l) Corporate management and financial innovation.

Abstracts of not more than 250 words should be sent to bafconference@unn.edu.ng. The deadline for abstract submissions is July 30th, 2019. Authors will be notified of the outcome by August 12th 2019. Thereafter, researchers whose abstracts are accepted will be expected to submit their full paper latest by August 30th, 2019. The conference fee for paper presenters and attendees is 25,000 Nigerian Naira or 100 USD to cover the costs of registration, conference materials, lunch, and welcome dinner on the 23rd of September, 2019.After payment, authors should send a soft copy of the payment proof to the listed email address for acknowledgment.
