The Association of Nigerian Geographers (ANG-UNN 2022) presents the 62ND National Conference 2022 holding at the Princess Alexandra Auditorium & Unity Hall, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Enugu State
THEME
CLIMATE CHANGE, DISEASE PANDEMIC AND INSECURITY: THE GEOGRAPHICAL PERSPECTIVE
20TH — 24TH SEPTEMBER 2022
INTRODUCTION
The Coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic has had huge impacts on public health systems, society, food systems, education, and economies and has led to massive transformations in the way we live and work. On the other hand, climate change has remained a major challenge to development across the world. However, when the challenges of Climate change are exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic and pervasive insecurity, the precariousness of lives and livelihoods as well as human existence on the earth’s surface become heightened. Thus, overcoming these challenges requires targeted and sustained efforts and innovations and lifestyle changes to guarantee the survival of humans.
In the light of this, the Head, Staff and Students of the Department of Geography, University of Nigeria, Nsukka cordially invite Researchers, Industry Practitioners, Development Agencies, Government MDAs, Postgraduate Students, Academic Community Geographers and the general public to the 62nd Annual National Conference of the Association of Nigerian Geographers (ANG) to be hosted by the Department of Geography, University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Watch Prof. T.C. Nzeadibe speak about the conference in the video below.
