Abstract
The photon frequencies of γ-iron have been calculated along the symmetry directions within the framework of the transition-metal model potential approach, including the contribution of the short-range three-body interactions to the dynamical matrix. The theoretically computed photon dispersion curves for γ-iron are found to be in reasonably good agreement with the experimental data.
