- PROFESSOR J.U.J ONWUMERE
Professor Josaphat U. J. Onwumere, PhD, FCISN, CMC, FIMC, FIAS, FAMSSRN, FUNNBS, HCIB is an Economist, Banking/Finance expert and Strategist. He is a Professor of Banking/Finance and Economic Development at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (Enugu Campus). He was Head of Department of Banking and Finance, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration; and Dean, Faculty of Business Administration in the University. He has banking experience spanning over twelve years at management level in the Nigerian Banking industry. He is a versatile researcher with over one hundred and forty publications which include books, chapters in books, and several articles in reputable local and high impact international journals. Professor Onwumere has supervised many postgraduate works (Postgraduate diplomas, Masters and Doctorates). He has consulted for governments and reputed local and international organizations. He is a Patron of the Enugu State Chapter of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN). He is a member of the CIBN Research Committee. He is also the Chairman of Editorial Board of CIBN’s Journal of Banking. Professor Onwumere is the Coordinator of Monetary and Fiscal Policies Research Group at the University of Nigeria. He is an External Examiner and Assessor to many Universities. He was the 115th Inaugural Lecturer of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. His lecture was titled – Financing Nigeria for Economic Development: Cornucopia/Pandora’s Box? Professor Onwumere is currently the Director, UNN Business School, University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus.
- CHINWE OKOYEUZU
Chinwe R. Okoyeuzu is an Associate Professor in the department of Banking and Finance, Faculty of Business Administration, University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Banking and Finance. Chinwe possesses outstanding communication, classroom management and presentation skills. She also has proven excellence in the development of strong rapport with students, colleagues, and administrators. In the course of her career, Chinwe has taught and supervised students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels within and outside University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus. Chinwe is actively into research. Her research interest transverses financial stability and sustainable finance. She has enviable research outputs in both national and international Journals. Chinwe reviews for several international Journals. She is very proficient in the use of information and communication technology (ICT) in teaching. She is currently using e-learning platform to teach in many distance learning platforms. Author of over 55 scholarly articles in international and national Journals. Chapters in books, monograph, and conference proceedings.
- GODWIN IMO IBE, PHD
Dr Godwin Imo Ibe currently a Senior lecturer in the Department of Banking and Finance, Faculty of Business Administration, University of Nigeria. Dr Ibe has a Ph.D in Banking and Finance), M.Sc (Banking and Finance) and B.Sc (Accountancy). He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Banker of Nigeria (ACIB). Dr Ibe has been supporting the Nigeria Governors’ Forum State Fiscal Transparency Accountability and Sustainability (SFTAS) Technical Support Project as part of the team that have been supporting the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) Help Desk Data of the 36 States of the Federation, 2018-2023 States Governments Budgets as well as supporting the 36 States of the Federation in Budget Performance Reporting. Specifically leading the Abia, Enugu, Bayelsa, Ekiti and Zamfara State budget officers in preparing, 1st, 2nd and 3rd 2021 Budget Performance reports and leading the Abia, Enugu, Bayelsa, Ekiti and Zamfara State budget officers in preparing, 2021 and 2022 budgets. Dr Ibe had undertaken short term consultancy assignments with USAID/DAI States2States Technical Support Project where he led the team that have been supporting the 6 States (Akwa Ibom, Adamawa, Bauchi, Ebonyi, Gombe and Sokoto States) in Budget Preparation and Budget Performance Reporting. Also, I had participated in preparing Medium Term Sector Strategy (MTSS) in Bauchi State in 2022. Also, Dr Ibe has worked for GIZ/European Union in performing Public Financial Management activities. Dr Ibe is currently an Executive Board Member of the University of Nigeria Staff Microfinance Bank (UNNSMFB).
- DR EBERE UME KALU
Ebere Ume Kalu is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Banking and Finance with the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He holds a parallel appointment in the University of Nigeria, Centre for Distance and e-Learning (CDeL). He is in charge of content and facilitation and also functions as the Programme Officer for the UNN-CDEL online Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme. He holds a PhD with Distinction in Banking and Finance from University of Nigeria, Nsukka and is a Fellow (FCIB) of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, A full member (MNIM) of Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered), An Associate Member (ACIA) of Chartered Institute of Administration and Chartered Institute of Taxation (ACTI). He is a teacher with Grade A certification by the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) and a research consultant. His areas of specialisation include financial analyses, financial econometrics, financial economics, banking systems and processes, corporate financial management and services and allied areas. He is also an examiner for the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria. Dr Kalu has over fifty (50) publications in his area of specialty in both local and international journals. He is also a reviewer for several impact factor journals and acts an academic editor for three international journals.
- DR ANGELA UJUNWA
Dr. (Mrs) Angela Ujunwa is a lecturer in the Department of Banking and Finance, Faculty of Business Administration, University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus. She holds a Bachelors degree with First Class Honours, and Doctoral Degree with distinction in Banking and Finance, University of Nigeria. She is a member of the Institute of chartered accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), and currently serves as an ICAN examination invigilator and internal examination assessor. She is decorated with so many academic awards which include Department of Banking and Finance Certificate of Merit, Zenith Bank International Academic Award, Nigerian Deposit Insurance Academic Prize, Nigerian – American Merchant Bank Academic Award as the best graduating student in the Department of Banking and Finance for 2007/2008 academic session, and Sir Odimegwu Ojukwu Memorial Prize Award as the best graduating student in the Faculty of Business Administration for 2007/2008 academic session. Angela Ujunwa has remarkable publications in top ranked international journals. Her research interest transverses financial innovation, business analytics, public finance and taxation, and political economics.
- DR NNENNA NWONYE
Nnenna Georgina Nwonye, Ph.D is a lecturer in the Department of Banking and Finance, University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus. An economist and financial analyst, she has her first degree in Economics from Anambra State University of Science and Technology, Awka and an MBA and Ph.D in Finance from University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus. She has major interest in research and her area of research interest are in economic growth and development, monetary and fiscal policy, growth of micro, small and medium enterprises, international finance among others. She is a member of professional bodies. She is married with 5 children.
- CHINYERE ONYEJIAKU PhD, AMNIM, FAMSSRN is an Accountant, Educationist and Management expert. She is a lecturer 1 in the Department of Management, Faculty of Business Administration at University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus. She obtained a BSc degree in Accountancy from Nnamdi Azikiwe University,Awka and B.Ed degree in Management/Economics from Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Enugu. Her Masters degree (MBA) and Ph.D degree were obtained in Management at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, specializing in Human Resource Management. She is a member of Monetary and Fiscal Policies Research Group at the University of Nigeria. She has consulting and research focus on Human Capital Management in Private and Public Sector organizations and globalization.
- DR CHINWE OLELEWE: Chinwe Olelewe read Banking and finance at her undergraduate level and graduated with a First Class Honours; carting away so many prizes at the graduation ceremony. She also holds MSc and PhD in Banking and Finance from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Dr Olelewe hails from Ezihinitte-Mbaise L.G.A in Imo state. She is an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and also a member of Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).
