Call for Papers

The University of Nigeria’s Journal of Political Economy calls for submission of manuscripts for publication consideration in her forthcoming 2018/2019 issues.

The University of Nigeria’s Journal of Political Economy is devoted to the publication of theoretical and research-based empirical works on issues that expose the links between the logic of the state and that of the market. Thus, the journal is concerned with the publication of all matters related to the nexus between the state and not just the economy, but society at large.

Provided that this bias is reflected, the articles to be accepted for publication in the journal may span the whole spectrum of political economy, international relations, public administration, public policy and management.

The editors seek substantial contributions that:

• Are multidisciplinary in nature and scope;
• Attend to the dialectical links among political, economic, socio-cultural factors;
• Provide an insight into contemporary issues and their historical backdrop;
• Contribute to the furtherance of theoretical debate and empirical research in the social sciences and political science in particular.

Guidelines for Contributors

• Articles submitted should be original and must NOT have been submitted elsewhere for publication consideration. Submission should be in Times New Roman (word document format), 12 font size and double line spacing
• Submission should NOT exceed 5000 words including the abstract and references
• The abstract should NOT be more than 150 words with a maximum of five (5) keywords
• Titles of papers should be submitted on a separate sheet and contributors should avoid comments in their works that will reveal the author(s) of the work
• Name(s), institutional affiliation(s), email address(es) and phone number(s) (not compulsory) of all contributors should be included to the title page
• Citations throughout the work and references should strictly adhere to the 7^th edition of the APA referencing style
• All submissions should be done electronically to the email address: unjpe@gmail.com
• Deadline for submission of manuscripts is 20^th January, 2020
