THE POST-2015 DEVELOPMENT FRAMEWORK FOR ACTION IN SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH AND RIGHTS (SRHR)

Focus: Health research generates knowledge that can be utilized to improve health system performance, health and health equity by defining components, goals and functions. The past two decades saw a number of efforts to adopt a more multidimensional approach to development defined by empowerment and human rights. Countdown (Progress tracking) to 2015 Millennium Development Goals was not good for many countries as many are still off track. The new development framework should thus include the broader aims of advancing social, political and gender justice within the targets and indicators assigned.
