Barr. M. A. Obayi was born on the 12th day of August, 1956 to the family of late Onogwu Thomas and Mrs. Agnes Oyimaja Obayi of Obodo-Agu Nguru Nsukka, Nsukka Local Government Area in the then East Central State of Nigeria, now Enugu State.
