About the Journal; Journal of Basic and Clinical Reproductive Sciences is a peer reviewed journal with the following purposes:

  1. To publish contributions in clinical and basic science research in all fields of Reproduction.
  2. To publish contributions in the prevention, management and treatment of diseases, and on the promotion of health in developed and developing countries as it concerns the reproductive system.
  3. We shall also accept articles on medical education, social medicine and other related medical subjects (Nursing, Medical laboratory Sciences, Medical Radiography and Rehabilitation, Clinical pharmacy etc.) as long as they refer to the reproductive system. Papers are published in English, using American spelling .However; we shall not reject any paper purely on the basis of a lack of acquaintance with the style of written English language. The editors will provide support for authors whose first language is not English. We hope that the publication of our new journal will bring a great opportunity for international academic communication and research. Manuscripts accepted for publication are copy edited for grammar, punctuation, print style, and format. Page proofs are sent to the corresponding author. The corresponding author is expected to return the corrected proofs within three days. It may not be possible to incorporate corrections received after that period. The whole process of submission of the manuscript to final decision and sending and receiving proofs is completed online. To achieve faster and greater dissemination of knowledge and information, the journal publishes articles online as ‘Ahead of Print’ immediately on acceptance.

Strengths and Weaknesses of the journals. Our strength lies on the services provided by the publishers. The online manuscript management system which enables authors and reviewers to track the progress of their manuscript. In addition, we provide services for language editing for authors who are not native English language speakers. Our major weakness is in our inability to be indexed by PubMed, which is one of the highest indexing body of medical journals.

Opportunities and Threats of the journals; We have the potential to be indexed by PubMed, Scopus and Thomson Reuters, but we are threatened by paucity of submissions to the journal and lack of funds.

Strategies to enhance the capacity of the journals. Publication in the journal is free and we have improved our visibility by constant call for papers and also using the social media. For the last three years, we have been attending national and international courses and conferences on scientific editing
