Information Literacy for Community Development Research Group
The research focus of the group is to examine various ways in which information Literacy can be used in fostering cross-cultural understanding among individuals. Much of societal problems today are as a result of failure of human beings to appreciate each other in terms of differences in culture, religion, ideology etc. Hence, there are wide spread terrorism and racial discrimination in the world today. Though many people world over lay claim to literacy in one field of study or the other, the problem of allitracy and ills associated with it are still prevalent.
