ABSTRACT
The Governments of Nigeria have planned to build 395 dams in the next five years. Such water resources development may increase the incidence of Schistosomiasis, Malaria, Onchocerciasis, and Trypanosomiasis. Adequate measures should be taken to minimize adverse effects of the projects on the public health.
