Abstract
A study was performed to investigate the ability of Streptomyces griseus to cause experimental mycetoma in the skin and in the foot pads of mice. The lesions appeared as palpable subcutaneous nodules discharging pale yellow cheesy pus and granules of S. griseus. The inoculated foot pads of the mice also developed nodular lesions which later became oedematous with bone destruction and fibrosis.
