Dr Benjamin Bernard Uzoejinwa is a senior lecturer at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), and a result-oriented researcher focusing on renewable energy systems, power and machinery systems engineering with a strong interest on the application of basic sciences, engineering principles, modelling, simulation, optimization and novel technologies in conversion of biomass and wastes into bioenergy/fuels and bio-chemicals with the aim to contribute actively to sustainable future development. He had his PhD degree in Power Engineering and Engineering Thermophysics at Jiangsu University China in June 2019, and graduated as the best PhD scholar of the year with eighteen science citation indexed (SCI) academic journal articles, and also won the awards for excellent PhD dissertation and outstanding academic performance. His outstanding performance at Jiangsu University earned UNN the opportunity of signing a memorandum of understanding for collaboration with Jiangsu University, which have enabled more than ten academic staff members of UNN to travel to China for their PhD degree programmes. Dr Uzoejinwa had his Master’s degree in Power and Machinery Systems Engineering at UNN in April 2013, with a distinction. He also received a Bachelor of engineering in the same field and citadel of higher learning, with first class honours, in August 2008. He is also an editorial board member and reviewer to many international and national journals including Elsevier and Springer. Besides, he has also published several more SCI journal articles to his credit. He is a professional member of ASABE, NSE, NIAE, ISTRO and RAESON.
