PROFILE OF OSMOND CHUKWUEMEKA ENE PROFESSOR OF HEALTH EDUCATION
Osmond Chukuemeka Ene, is a Professor of Health Education and the current Health and Department. He obtained his Ph.D degree from Enugu state University of Science and Technology (ESUT) in 1998 under the supervision of a renowned Health Education late Professor G.B.I Onuoha. He also has an M.Ed degree from University of Ibadan in 1983, and a B.Sc degree from University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1981. His areas of specialization include thanatology and Gerontology. Prof Ene is a researcher of repute who has published over 40 articles in international and local journals. He is the Author of Health, wellness and longevity (2004) and Understanding ageing, dying and death (2009). These books remain masterpiece in Nigeria. 
Prof. Ene was Head of department in ESUT from 1999-2001 and also chairman senate committee on sports in the some period. He was also health of Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education, Ebonyi state University Abakaliki from 2005-2006, when he was on sabbatical leave, during which he secured fill accreditation to the department. He was the Director of ESUT per-science programme from 2007-2010 and also the chairman senate committee on sports and Games in the same period. He was also chairman ESUT senate committee on ceremonial. As Director of ESUT pre-science programme he improved teaching and learning and stopped extortion of money from students. As chairman senate committee on sports and Games ESUT female chess players won Gold medals in the 2008 NUGA games. As chairman ESUT senate committee on ceremonials, he worked out plans from which the abandoned convocation ceremonies were held.
Prof. Ene was a member of ESUT management committee. Prof. Ene is a team player a leader, a courageous man, a go-gether and a hard worked. His commitment to duty is exceptional and phenomenal. His achievements as Head of department, Director ESUT pre-science programmme, chairman ESUT senate committee on sports and Games and chairman ESUT senate committee on ceremonials attest to this. He is honest and reliable. He is a trust worthy person. He has naves failed to render the account of his stewardship at the aid of each of his services period to the university. He has never been found wanting: Prof. Ene  has very good relationship with both staff and students of the University. Students have found in him a teacher, mentor and role model.
Prof. Osmond Chukwuemeka Ene is a committed and devoted catholic. He has held several positions in his parishes and zones. He is happily married to Kate Uzo Ene (nee Offor) and they are blessed with four children.
