Biography :

John Ikechukwu Eze (PhD) is a Professor of Food engineering and of bio-gas technology in the department of food science and Technology in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Nigeria. He is a distinguished graduate of food science and technology having studied Food Technology with specialization in Food Process Engineering in his MSc. and Ph.D degrees obtained in 1995 and 200 respectively. He is a Visionary Leader and a serving member of the University Senate (2011), Member, university appraisal committee and other Committees. Member of various committee in the Faculty of Agriculture and department of food science and technology.

 He is an Innovative Scientist whose research works produced over 77 scientific publications which include, journal articles, proceedings, chapters in books, technology innovations, and technical reports amongst others. He is a scholar of extraordinary insight, whose five outstanding innovations are currently undergoing patenting processes.His research interests are in the following areas: food engineering and bio-gas technology.He has made many breakthrough in research work. He is the first professor in Nigeria to generate electricity from cow dung through anaerobic fermentation.

He is a Reviewer of several learned journals,  Editor in chief of Nigeria journal of  solar energy and Member of Editorial Board of Journal. He is a Fellow of solar energy society of Nigeria and member, Nigerian Institute of Food Science and Technology (NIFST) and other professional bodies. He has successfully supervised and graduated many Msc. and 3 PhD students in food science and technology UNN.
