Engr Dr. Stephen Ejiofor Oti who was born in 1974 hails from Edem-Ani in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu state of Nigeria. He pursued his elementary and secondary school education in his home town Edem. He received a B.Eng. (Electrical Engineering) and an M.Eng. (Electrical Power Devices) degrees, both of the University of Nigeria in 1998 and 2006 respectively. He was in 1999 posted to National Electric Power Authority (NEPA) for the compulsory National Youth Service Corp scheme. He was after the service, engaged as Senior Mathematics teacher in Special Science School, Nsukka from where he joined the Electrical Engineering Department, UNN as a Principal Technical Officer and was later in 2007 converted to the lecturing cadre in the same department. He has just in December 2014 received the award of doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering of University of Nigeria. He is a member of Nigerian Society of Engineers and is also a registered member of Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). His research areas include Machine modeling, Thermal modeling, Power and Energy systems modeling and Simulations. Apart from the pure academic role he is engaged in here, he is serving as the current academic adviser of the third year students, he has represented this Department at the SIWES office for about four years. He coordinated the Mini Project for three consecutive years and is currently the final year project Coordinator.
