Born on the 18th of May, 1973 at Queen Elizabeth Hospital (Now Federal Medical Center) Umuahia in Abia State, I had my Primary and Secondary education from 1978-1989. I obtained First School Leaving Certificate in 1983 from Ogboli Primary School Onitsha and Senior Secondary Certificate of Education (SSCE) in 1989 from Dennis Memorial Grammar School (DMGS) Onitsha. I completed my undergraduate medical education from University of Nigeria Nsukka College of Medicine on the 13th of Feburary, 1998. One year internship and one year National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) were undertaken in 1998/99 and 1999/2000 from University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital(UNTH), Enugu and State Specialist Hospital turned Federal Medical Center (FMC) Yenegoa, Bayelsa State respectively. Following NYSC, I was retained and worked as a Medical Officer to Senior Medical Officer at FMC Yenegoa from 2000 to 2004. I undertook postgraduate medical education with West African College of Physicians and obtained fellowship of the college (FWACP) in April 2012. I also obtained fellowship in Paediatric Cardiology from Innova Childrens’ Heart Hospital, Hyderabad, India in June, 2012. I was appointed Hospital Consultant with UNTH, Enugu on the 4th of July, 2012, Lecturer-1 with the Department of Paediatrics, College of Medicine, University of Nigeria on the 1st of Feburary, 2016 and regularized to Senior Lecturer on the 28th of September, 2016. I have more than 15 Publications in Peer-review Journals.
