Agha A. Agha is a Professional Social Worker and Public Health Advocate. He is an Alumnus of the University of Nigeria where he bagged Diploma certificate, Bachelor’s and Master\'s Degrees in Social Work and Community Development respectively with top grades.
His corporate work experience started in 2007 at Intercontinental Bank (now Access Bank) as an intern, later Oceanic Bank (now Eco Bank) and FinBank (now FCMB) where he demonstrated high level of competence and integrity in cash handling, tellering and customer management and was among the pioneer staff that opened Obollo Afor Branch of Eco bank in Enugu state.
Agha is a volunteer per excellent and ardent believer in the principle of Service Above Self. He has volunteered for the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Lagos as a Medical Social Worker, Health and Psychological Trust Centre at different capacities, and Somolu High School, Lagos as a volunteer Teacher.
He also served as Director of Programme, Research and Advocacy at Health and Psychological Trust Centre (Project PINK BLUE) where he led the process of all the organisation\'s programme including research, advocacy, fund raising, patient support, Volunteer management as well as direct management of the Breast Cancer Navigation and Palliative Programme (BCNPP), Abuja.
His professional orientations are in the area of Medical, Family and Children Services; Community development; Social Work; Youth development; Community Service/Volunteerism; Women and Gender Issues; Public health among others.
Agha is a Fellow of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) West African Regional Leadership Centre (RLC), Accra, Ghana, a programme sponsored by USAID.
Agha is very open to new challenges, ideas and have great respect for other people’s orientations and culture which makes him work favourably in a team. He adapts quickly to new situation, very dependable, fun and innovative. Agha is a committed member of the distinguished Senior Staff Club, UNN and currently serves as the General Secretary of the Club. He loves and plays football and table tennis, and an active member of the Faculty of the Social Sciences Football Team that won three consecutive times the UNN Interfaculty Staff Football Tournament for the year 2018, 2019 & 2020 respectively.
