Yemi Adewoyin joined the Department of Geography, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, after a brief stint as a Lecturer in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Oyo State and over a decade as an Operations Management expert in the financial services industry. He holds a top-of-the-class B.Sc. degree in Geography and Planning Science from the then Ondo State University, Ado-Ekiti, two Master’s degrees in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Political Geography from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, a third Master’s degree in Business Administration and a Ph.D. in Urban and Regional Planning, both from the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Nigeria. A recipient of Travel Grants from the French Institute of Demographic Studies, France, and the European Center for African Studies, Switzerland, Yemi’s research interests and publications are in Health Geography and Regional Planning, Political Geography, and GIS. Dr. Adewoyin has presented papers at several local and international conferences.
