Biography :Dr.Etiaba has been employed in the Department of Health Administration and Management, Faculty of Health Sciences and Technology, College of Medicine, University, since February 2012.She teaches Biostatistics and basic/Advanced Epidemiology to the Post Graduate Diploma and Masters students of the department. She also works as a senior researcher with the Health Policy Research Group (HPRG), College of Medicine, University of Nigeria. She has skills and competencies in both quantitative and qualitative research. Having primarily trained as a family practice doctor and later Public Health professional, and having worked in the United Kingdom and Nigeria as a health care provider in the different health systems, she has a wealth of experience of the population healthcare needs and topical issues affecting the Millennium Development Goals and now Universal Health Coverage (UHC). Presently she has a keen interest in Integrating the public and private health sector towards UHC, healthcare financing and how to tackle barriers to healthcare access as a result of persisting social determinants of health in South east Nigeria, and getting research findings into policy and practice.
