Biography :

Dr. Smart Chika Obiora obtained the West African School Certificate in one sitting in 1985. He later obtained a B.Sc. (Hons) Geology,University of Nigeria, Nsukka(UNN),1989; M.Sc.Geology, with specialization in Mineralogy and Petrology,1995 and PhD Geology, with specialization in Igneous and Metamorphic Petrology, 2002, all from UNN.

  He joined the services of the UNN as a Graduate Assistant in Geology in 1991 and became a Senior Lecturer in Mineralogy, Igneous and Metamorphic Petrology in 2005. He is a COMEG registered Geoscientist and he is currently serving as the Secretary of the Nigerian Mining and Geosciences Society. He is also currently, the Acting Head, Department of Geology.
