Chemical Engineering students are not eligible for this position as the work is settled at the borders of physics and chemistry
The topic of the internship is of theoretical nature and involves heuristic modelling, but HEAVY computational load, e.g. by VASP, WIEN, QUNATUM Espresso or similar.
Tasks will be computing for organic materials, their structure and their electronic band structure. In addition, the effect of a static magnetic field on the band structure (i,.e QM Zeeman effect to predict the optical Kerr effect) will be investigated.
