ANSELM A. ENETE is currently a Senior Lecturer and Associate Dean, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN). From 1994-1998, he was a Research Fellow with the Collaborative Study of Cassava in Africa (COSCA), which was funded by the Rockefeller Foundations and executed by the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), Ibadan, Nigeria. From 1999-2004, he was at the katholieke Universiteit Leuven (K.U.Leuven), Belgium, where he completed his PhD programme in Agricultural Economics in December 2003. From February, 2005 to March, 2006, he worked as a Consultant with the International Labour Organization, Geneva on “Essential Research for a Cooperative Facility for Africa”. From January 2010 – July, 2011, Dr Enete led a study on indigenous agricultural adaptation to climate change in southeast Nigeria, which was funded by African Technology Policy Studies Network (ATPS), Nairobi. In October/Novermber 2011, Dr. Enete did a consultancy work with the Abia State FADAMA Agricultural Project, where he worked on Achievement of small scale community owned infrastructure and Asset Acquisition as part of the FADAMA III project objective. He was an active team member of DelPHe 326 project that developed a framework for agricultural Adaptation to Climate Change in Southern Nigeria, funded by the British Council. From July 2011 – July 2013, Dr. Enete led a team that worked on climate change and cassava processing in southeast Nigeria, which was funded by CIGI, Canada. Up till April 2013, he was the secretary to the team that worked towards building a trans-disciplinary climate change adaptation capacity in UNN, funded by the Open Society Foundation. He was also a team member of the group that worked towards establishing an agribusiness programme at the University of Nigeria Nsukka, funded by African Network for Agriculture, Agro-forestry and Natural Resources Education (ANAFE). In the course of the foregoing, Dr. Enete has published (in quite a broad range of areas in agricultural economics) in books, local and international Journals, conferences and technical reports. He has also presented papers to a wide range of agricultural stakeholders in many countries of Africa.
