The Department of Student Affairs is charged with the responsibility of taking care of the Welfare of the entire student body in the University. We advance the mission of the university by helping to shape an environment in which all students are challenged and supported in their efforts to deepen their understanding of themselves, of others, and of the world.

Some of our responsibities are:
  1. Organizing and executing orientation programmes for fresh students at the beginning of every session in collaboration with the various Departments of the University;
  2. Keeping the Bio-data of all students both residential and non-residential
  3. Allocating hostel rooms and spaces to students and carrying out 24-hour services for their up-keep
  4. Providing counselling services on academic, social and psychological issues for students   
  5. Making arrangements for students’ work aid, financial aids, and scholarships in liaison with Governments, public organizations and individuals for the disbursement of bursary awards and any other financial aids to students
  6. Registering and monitoring the activities of student organizations/societies and ensuring compliance with the rules and regulations as approved;
  7. Liaising with the academic Departments for approval and processing of student voluntary withdrawals due to financial or health reasons
  8. Coordinating with the Departments of Medical Services and Security on health matters and security issues of students, respectively;
  9. Conducting elections for the offices of the Student Union and monitoring their activities;
  10. Providing secretariat for the Student Disciplinary Board
  11. Ensuring the cleanliness of the hostels including the enforcement of rules and regulations.
