UNN graduate and undergradute students are engaged in hundreds of publishable research in close colaboration with senior faculty. Additionally, there are various research centres engaged specific in research in spcalized areas.

 Centre for Entrepreneurship and Development Research (CEDR)

The National Centre for energy Research and Development (NCERD) , University of Nigeria, Nsukka, is a Federal Funded establishment under the supervision of Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN), in the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology.

Additionally, we have Centre of National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA). In 1993 Nigeria called on 9 experts in the field of space science to draw up a space policy. The Experts strongly recommended that Nigerian Government should create a Centre for Basic space science to coordinate space research activities in the Universities and Research Institutions in the country.
