Abstract
The paper presents a new method for the determination of the dispersion number in a waste stabilization pond. Requiring only the data on bacteria variation along the pond as input, this method is simple, accurate and economical compared with the conventional tracer study method. Its application in pond design and evaluation is also discussed. An abstract is a self-contained, short, and powerful statement that describes a larger work. Components vary according to discipline. An abstract of a social science or scientific work may contain the scope, purpose, results, and contents of the work.
